The Sports Medicine Team of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology is now inviting applications for the post of Postdoctoral Fellows for conducting clinical research for Hong Kong athletes.
Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Sport Sciences, Sport biomechanics, Physiotherapy, Biomedical Science or related fields; (ii) an effective command of both Chinese and English; and (iii) experience in conducting clinical studies. Experience in ultrasound imaging or biomechanics related research would be advantageous.
The appointee(s) will work at the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) and CUHK. He/She will work on research projects in collaboration with HKSI under the supervision of Prof. Patrick Yung. The projects focus on the assessment, injury prevention and rehabilitation for elite athletes. He/She will be responsible for carrying out experimental duties including (a) motion analysis; (b) ultrasound imaging; (c) data analysis; and (d) preparation of research proposals, reports and papers. Training will be provided to candidates with less experience.
