We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President to join our Payments Processing Group.

This role is located in Hong Kong (Hybrid).


In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 


Payments processing:



  • Supervises a small to medium-sized team based across one or more locations.

  • Oversee day-to-day payments processing activities including domestic and cross-border transactions.

  • Ensure timely settlement of all payments with zero tolerance for errors.

  • Provide product knowledge and technical assistance on complex problems.

    Acts as the teams initial point of contact for issues requiring escalation.

  • Implement and maintain robust controls to minimize operational risk and ensure adherence to SLAs.


Regulatory Reporting & Compliance:



  • Manage end-to-end regulatory reporting submissions (daily, monthly, quarterly).

  • Ensure compliance with HKMA guidelines, HKICL operating rules & its regulatory standards.

  • Support internal & external audits, lead remediation & closure of any audit findings.


Liquidity & Risk Management:



  • Monitor & manage group who ensuring intraday liquidity across all products.

  • Manage communication with Treasury for all cash flow requirements.

  • Escalate potential shortfalls & timely initiate corrective actions.


Stakeholder & External Communication:



  • Act as primary point of contact with HKICL, regulators, correspondent banks & clearing systems.

  • Partner with internal teams (Compliance, Controls, Risk, Technology) to resolve controls gaps, issues & ensure regulatory alignment.

  • Provide senior management with updates on key operational & regulatory developments.

  • Manage all communication with business to update regarding KPI’s & SLA’s, challenges, etc.


MIS & Automation initiatives:



  • Prepare & review MIS on volumes, SLA’s, exceptions, staffing, etc.

  • Identify automation & process improvement ideas and drive it to meet enterprise objectives.


Leadership & Team management:



  • Lead, mentor & develop a high operations team.

  • Work closely with teams supporting from other locations.

  • Allocation of resources effectively to meet operational demands.

  • Prepare performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to staff.

  • Foster a culture of risk awareness, accountability & service excellence.


 


 


To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 



  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • 8-10 years of total work experience in payments operations/Treasury Operations with atleast 5years in leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of HK payments systems (RTGS, CHATS, HKICL)

  • Good understanding of liquidity management & nostro reconciliations.

  • Experience in regulatory reporting (HKMA) & managing audits.

  • Excellent stakeholder management & communication skills.

  • Proven ability to lead teams under pressure & strong attention to detail.
