Job description

Our client is a leading regional information, communications and technology (ICT) service provider with strong presence in Asia Pacific.

They deliver end-to-end ICT solutions to help governments and enterprises realise business value through digital transformation and the innovative use of technology.

They are now geared to prepare the region for the next wave of transformation and expanding rapidly in the region.

Job Duties:

  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to the project teams.
  • Lead a technical team consisting of system/network/database administrators, computer operations, and technical specialists to implement, maintain, and support various sizeable IT infrastructures.
  • Design the network architecture that is the most cost effective and efficient for the System
  • Design a flexible system infrastructure that caters to future growth and expansion.
  • Provide technical advice on system configuration.
  • Provide daily LAN administration and operation, and keep an updated list of all hardware and software.
  • Co-ordinate with vendors on the delivery, installation, testing and support of system hardware and system software (servers, SANs and others) during site-preparation, development, implementation and ongoing support
  • Develop technical operation procedures to support the system.
  • Work closely with different hardware/software vendors and the customers to design and implement system infrastructure including operating system administration, system security, clustering, SAN storage, backup and disaster recovery procedure.
  • Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 12 years of post-qualification IT experiences, including at least 6 years of experiences in infrastructure design and implementation.

    Preferable in Government sector
  • Practical knowledge in network design and implementation; large scale PC deployment; managing Sun Solaris, AIX, Windows, Clustering, SAN, Cisco, Oracle, Middleware, Security and backup solution.
  • At least specialized in one of the technical areas, for instance system, network, security, data center, storage etc.
  • Completed more than 1 cycle of project development in large scale projects, preferable in government sector.
  • Strong team leading and people management skill.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all level of users and team members.
  • Excellent documentation techniques and analytical skills.
  • Initiative, customer-focused, independent and able to work under pressure.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Holder of ITIL or PMP certification is essential.
