The (TLC) at Lingnan University strives

We
are seeking an outstanding individual to join the TLC as a Senior Research
Officer/Technical Officer to conduct empirical teaching and learning research
and provide support for technical aspects across a number of funded projects
and/or institutional surveys with a focus on learning analytics.
The appointee is accountable to the Manager
and Strategic Lead, Learning Analytics and will work with a team of educators
and professionals on various projects to enhance teaching and learning in the
University.
Responsibilities
• Provide operational support for various teaching and learning projects and/or institutional surveys, including analysing data, carrying out empirical research and/or research projects/activities, writing research proposals, reports and/or papers
• Provide technical support such as programming as well as user training
• Coordinate various project meetings, presentations and follow up
• Perform any other
duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements
• A relevant degree in education, statistics, digital science or a closely related field from a tertiary institution
• Practical knowledge and experience in using technology in supporting teaching and learning for higher education institution
• Working knowledge of collecting and analysing data to identify key improvement areas in teaching and learning
• Strong statistics and analytical skills with a good knowledge of using popular software
• Strong command of written and spoken English
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility
• Attentive to details
Candidates
with less/more experience will be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with
qualifications and experience.
