Job description

The Department

Our Membership Services Department plays an essential role in providing co-ordination, administrative support and amenities to deliver quality services to the 24,000 Club Members and their families.

The Job

  • Supporting and co-ordinating event logistics for conduct of different programs and engagement events in Hong Kong, Mainland and Overseas (e.g. racing education workshop, owner talk, and racing tour) according to the Membership/Ownership development and implementation strategies to promote and groom the Mainland Members’ interest in Racing and Horse Ownership, contributing to meeting the annual intake target set for Mainland Members’ nomination to Racing Members, their entry to the horse ballot, and subsequent conversion into Owners.
  • Acting as an account manager to develop, co-ordinate and provide one-stop personalised relationship management service to the increasing population of Mainland Racing Members/Owners on their Racing and Horse Ownership experience in Mainland and Hong Kong, and to sustain their interest and commitment in horse ownership, to turn them into Club’s ambassadors, for continuous growth in ownership size and quality.
  • Assisting in managing on-boarding experience and events of new Members based in GBA/HK, looking after Mainland Members’ reciprocal use of Hong Kong racing and clubhouse facilities, and coordinating the enquiries and communication among Members, business units in HK and BJCH.
  • Supporting and participating in Mainland Member recruitment drives especially on identifying and following up prospects with owner potential via engagement and networking with Members/Owners and their connections, to support the sales team in meeting the member intake budget.
  • Providing administrative and communication support to Management on development and maintenance of membership processes and policies
  • Conducting UAT on Mainland Member data in the CRM system as per ongoing needs and future system enhancement on behalf of BJCH team
  • Undertaking other assignments by Membership & Ownership Development Manager from time to time.
  • About You

  • a degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality or a related discipline
  • a minimum of 5 years’ experience in customer services environment associated with the Mainland markets, preferably engagement with high-end customers
  • a good understanding of the Mainland culture and customs, being a native Mainlander is an advantage
  • Hospitality, sales or marketing management
  • excellent command of Putonghua, as well as high proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
  • to be independent and out-going, with strong inter-personal skills
  • Knowledgeable on the Club’s core business of horse racing, Membership and Wagering
  • Terms of Employment

    The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
