Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Digital and Technology, the incumbent is responsible for defining, implementing, and governing digital solutions and platforms based on data insights and business needs and establishing and maintaining a robust digital governance framework that ensures the effective and secure management of digital assets, platforms, and data, in alignment with industry regulations (e.g., GL20, IA requirements) , compliance and best practices, supporting the company’s insurance business.
Core Responsibilities
Oversee the definition and development of digital solutions.Oversee the management of digital projects, ensuring alignment with governance framework.Assess and manage risks associated with digital initiatives, including data security and privacy.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GL20, IA guidelines) and industry best practices.Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance managementDevelop and implement digital policies, standards and governanceAssess and mitigate digital risks, including security and data privacy.Establish and monitor digital KPIs and performance metrics and maintain digital asset inventory and documentation.Provide guidance and support to business units on digital governance matters.Monitor emerging regulatory trends impacting digital insuranceQualifications / Experience / Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience in digital governance, IT governance, or a similar role, preferably in the financial services industry.Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance regulations (e.g., GL20, IA, GDPR).Experience with digital project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).Familiarity with investment-linked insurance products and the Hong Kong regulatory environment.Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.Knowledge of agile governance methodologies.Excellent documentation and reporting skills.Reports To Role
