The Office of the Dean of Science is inviting applications from highly qualified candidates for the position of Senior Manager (Biomedical Education).
The successful candidate will work closely with faculty and administrative leadership, playing a pivotal role in supporting all aspects of new undergraduate and/or postgraduate programme curriculum development and enhancement, as part of major initiatives in the biomedical area for the long-term strategic development of the University.
This includes both professional and non-professional degrees in biomedical and health sciences, as well as overseeing the delivery and student assessment processes, ensuring compliance with the University’s academic regulations and any external accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively manage and help oversee all administrative, logistical and operational activities related to new curriculum development, delivery, and student assessment.Collaborate with faculty and University counterparts in the preparation of documentation and materials for curriculum approval, support relevant accreditation processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.Work closely with faculty and professional services colleagues to integrate new curriculum into institutional planning, including but not limited to funding applications, facility development, faculty planning, IT systems planning, admissions and student affairs.Coordinate and liaise across faculty and educational partnerships for effective teaching arrangements and delivery.Support the development and implementation of administrative policies and procedures related to curriculum management, quality assurance and evaluation mechanisms and monitoring, to support continuous programme improvement.Maintain accurate records of curriculum development processes, assessment results, and student performance metrics, ensuring data accessibility for reporting and decision-making.Provide administrative and executive support to relevant School committees and meetings related to curriculum matters.Mentor and manage team members, to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment in pursuit of achieving the University’s goals.

Key Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:
A bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 8-10 years of post-qualification work experience in managing academic curricula or a related area, preferably in a tertiary institution.
A relevant master’s degree or above is highly advantageous.In-depth knowledge and expertise in curriculum development and delivery, design and best practices, modern assessment and examination methodologies, local accreditation processes, quality assurance, and educational partnerships.Exceptional planning and organisational skills, with a strong sense of priorities and responsibility, coupled with excellent judgement, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Self-initiative to manage competing tasks under tight schedules.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, across academic departments, and with educational partners.Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in curriculum and assessment software and other relevant IT applications would be advantageous.Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
