We are seeking a hands-on Associate Director – Debt Restructuring & Transaction Execution to join .
King’s cross-border Debt Issuer Services team in Hong Kong.
This role is ideal for someone with strong project execution experience in Debt Capital Markets (DCM) — particularly liability management and public bond restructurings — who is looking to lead transactions end-to-end rather than focus solely on business development.

King Asia, you will play a key role in executing complex cross-border transactions across APAC and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Lead execution of complex liability management transactions, including public bond restructurings, tender offers, consent solicitations, and exchange offers. Manage transaction lifecycles from end-to-end, including due diligence, legal documentation review, investor outreach, and settlement processes. Liaise with investment banks, law firms, financial advisors, Central Securities Depositories, custodians, and institutional investors. Work closely with internal teams across APAC, EMEA, and the US to coordinate global deal activity. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, with a focus on delivery and execution quality. Support origination and client relationship efforts as needed — but this is primarily an execution-driven role. Oversee reporting, compliance, and billing processes related to transactions. Act as a senior project lead, ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of transactions. Experience & Requirements
Proven experience in Debt Capital Markets, with a strong focus on liability management and public bond restructuring. Deep understanding of DCM execution processes across Asia (experience with Europe or US markets a plus). Comfortable running projects independently, managing multiple stakeholders under tight timelines. Strong knowledge of key transaction types: exchange offers, consent solicitations, tender offers, etc. Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English – essential for working with Mainland China-based issuers and advisors. Commercial mindset with excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills. Meticulous attention to detail; strong project management and time management skills. Advanced Excel skills a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Economics or related field. Previous leadership or team management experience is preferred. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.
