Responsibilities
The appointee is expected to:
• assist the Director of the Institute to coordinate and facilitate research projects in a wide spectrum of Humanities areas with a primary focus on modern and premodern Chinese literature and culture;
• coordinate the convening of seminars and international conferences in collaboration with other academic departments, or local and overseas institutions;
• handle administrative work of the Institute;
• initiate and oversee the production of video series on Chinese literature and culture;
• assist in editing the Institute’s serial publications and preparing promotional material, including newsletters, flyers, and brochures;
• liaise with external parties, including but not limited to contributors, editors, publishers, and social media firms; and
• undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
• a good Master’s degree in the humanities;
• preferably 3 years of relevant working experience;
• background training in the Chinese humanities;
• excellent command of Chinese and English;
• good interpersonal and communication skills; and
• proficient IT skills
Preference will be given to candidates with track records in project design and operational management.
