Introduction:

Are you a highly experienced Quality Manager looking for a pivotal role in the electronic components manufacturing industry?

We are seeking a dedicated and thorough professional to lead our Quality Assurance department, ensuring our products consistently meet the highest standards and customer expectations.

As our Quality Manager, you will oversee all aspects of quality throughout the entire product lifecycle, from incoming materials to final customer delivery.

Responsibilities:

Customer Quality Excellence:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all customer quality topics, effectively communicating major changes and addressing any issues.
  • Lead the resolution of customer complaints, coordinating with internal teams and ensuring timely, effective corrective actions (e.g., 8D reports).
  • Monitor, track, and report on customer quality performance, driving continuous improvement based on feedback and audits.
  • Coordinate and lead preparations for customer visits and audits.
  • Incoming Quality & Supplier Management:

  • Address supplier quality issues that may impact manufacturing costs, delivery, or product quality, collaborating with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Manage supplier corrective actions, ensuring timely closure and driving improvements in incoming material quality.
  • Work with relevant parties to manage part replacements and cost recovery for quality issues.
  • Define and track key supplier performance indicators, sharing insights with the broader QA team.
  • Ensure procurement specifications and Incoming Quality Control (IQC) procedures (forms, criteria, tooling) are robust and align with overall quality expectations.
  • In-Process Quality Control:

  • Implement and maintain proper procedures for handling non-conforming materials and products.
  • Monitor, analyze, and lead efforts to reduce defective rates in manufacturing processes, ensuring effective action plans are in place.
  • Oversee the implementation of appropriate quality control plans (e.g., SPC) for both new and mass-produced products, constantly monitoring results for deviations.
  • Utilize quality tools (SPC, 8D, FMEA) to enhance process analysis and ensure high quality in manufacturing.
  • Drive immediate corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and ensure consistent quality tracking and reporting.
  • Quality System Management:

  • Effectively deploy quality tools and systems across operations, coordinating with local and headquarter quality teams.
  • Initiate and lead regular internal audits to maintain high-quality standards and system compliance.
  • Ensure all data is prepared for audits and that proper actions are taken before and after.
  • Maintain and improve quality systems and protocols, ensuring all changes are documented, communicated, and followed.
  • Promote a strong quality culture and awareness throughout the operation, ensuring synergy with headquarter quality initiatives.
  • Team Leadership & Administration:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate quality department staff, ensuring optimal team deployment and workload balance.
  • Support other business partners (Engineering, Production, Development) as needed.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as leave management and performance appraisals.
  • Plan and control departmental spending and ensure processes meet required standards.
  • Support company initiatives for business process fine-tuning and system implementation.
  • Coordinate staff training to enhance competencies and ensure consistent functional performance.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or Physics.
  • At least 10 years of experience in quality engineering functions, with a minimum of 5-7 years in a middle management role leading teams of 10-30+ subordinates.
  • Proficient in using various quality tools (SPC, 8D, FMEA) and knowledgeable in different quality systems/certifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational and people management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills in both Thai and English.
  • Independent, self-motivated with a positive attitude, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment and adhering to timelines.
  • Willingness to travel abroad as required.
