Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of ‘Academic Activities Liaison Officer’)
The Department of Chinese Language and Literature is now inviting applications for a full-time Project Co-ordinator II to assist with various academic and administrative duties.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) planning and co-ordinating the departmental promotional and academic exchange activities, conferences, seminars and other related academic events; (b) managing the publication of academic journal, books, and proceedings; (c) liaising with internal and external collaborative parties; (d)monitoring the progress and development of academic review and assessment projects; (e) writing proposals and reports; (f) overseeing general administration and managing the daily operation of the PG programmes offered by the Department; (g) providing secretarial and administrative support to various committees, including scheduling meetings and preparing meeting documents; and (h) performing other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above; (ii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (iii) computer literacy; (iv) effective planning and organisational skills; (v) good interpersonal skills and team spirit; and (vi) strong self-motivation, the ability to multitask, work independently and under pressure.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
