The research team led by Professor Mei-Po Kwan at the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science (ISEIS), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), is now recruiting Postdoctoral Fellow(s) and Research Assistant(s) to participate in several ongoing research projects.
The team conducts interdisciplinary research in areas such as remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), artificial intelligence, health geography, carbon neutrality, atmospheric and environmental sciences, and sustainable development.
We welcome outstanding applicants with relevant academic backgrounds who are interested in engaging in high-level scientific research.
Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Science, Geography, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Data Science, or related disciplines from a recognised university (for Postdoctoral Fellow(s)); or a Bachelor's degree or above in the abovementioned disciplines (for Research Assistant(s)); (ii) passion for research, with the ability to work independently and across disciplines; (iii) proficiency in at least one programming language; and (iv) strong communication skills in both English and Chinese, with a good sense of responsibility and team spirit.
Prior experience in data processing or model development is preferred.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
