The Vision, Graphics and Computational Design (VGD) Group is now looking for Post-doctoral Fellows and Research Assistants who are ocean enthusiasts and have strong interest in developing novel computer vision techniques and applying them to marine-related research problems.
The VGD Group led by Prof.
Sai-Kit Yeung () conducts cutting-edge research on 3D content reconstruction, understanding, modeling and redesign, as well as uses AI techniques for design and content generation, human-robot interaction and novel algorithms to enhance virtual reality and augmented reality applications.
The Group works closely with marine biologists, field ecologists and coral conservationists to develop novel computer vision and graphics techniques, as well as integrative systems to solve a wide range of marine-related problems.
We have multiple Post-doctoral Fellow and Research Assistant positions with immediate openings.
Appointees will be involved in research topics including multi-sensor simultaneous localization and mapping, 3D reconstruction, 3D scene understanding, image enhancement, scene generation, as well as system design that facilitates the above research topics.
Applicants for Post-doctoral Fellow should have a PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical and electronic engineering or related disciplines.
Candidates with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the above disciplines may be considered for the Research Assistant position.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract with duration of 2 years.
