Part-time Project Co-ordinator II(s) (carrying the job title of ‘Part-time Assistant Student Development Manager’)
The Wellness and Counselling Centre of the Office of Student Affairs is recruiting Part-time Project Co-ordinator II(s) to further enhance SEN service, and to develop and implement new initiatives that foster an inclusive and caring university community.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) co-ordinating the support services for students with special educational needs (SEN); (b) assisting the supervisor(s) in planning and implementing new initiatives that promote the integration and inclusion of students with SEN into campus life; (c) managing various funding schemes to support students with SEN in pursuing global learning opportunities, and to raise awareness and strengthen the CUHK members’ capacity to support students with SEN; and (d) contributing to other projects organised by the Centre and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s).
Having experience in supporting individuals with SEN, as well as in student coaching would be an advantage.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Communications, or a related discipline; (ii) at least 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably at tertiary institutions; (iii) a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua) as well as competency in computer/IT applications; (iv) strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; (v) good copywriting skills, and capability of creating engaging content tailored to different platforms; (vi) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; and (vii) the ability to manage multiple projects independently and under pressure.
Solid experience in providing support service to students with SEN, managing databases, and system revamp will be advantageous.
Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
