The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is a world-renowned, international researchuniversity in Hong Kong.

The Center for Language Education invites applications for a part-time teaching-trackfaculty position of Korean Lecturer.



The appointee is required to teach Korean language from beginning levels to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

As a faculty member on a teaching-track contract, the appointee is expected to contribute to the academic life of the Center by also engaging in scholarship of teaching and learning.

Applicants are expected to engage in materials development, and to maximize technology in their teaching.

Applicants with qualification and ability to teach English in addition to Korean are welcome.

Applicants should have native-level Korean proficiency, with a first degree and a master's degree in teaching Korean and/or English as a foreign language, applied linguistics or language education and preferably a recognized language teaching qualification.

Experience in teaching Korean as a foreign language to local Hong Kong students at tertiary/senior secondary level is preferred.

The appointee is expected to commence appointment in January 2026.(Duration: 2 years)
