Job description

Duties

  • Manage and oversee AI projects from planning, design, development, and monitoring to closure, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organisational goals and effective resource management;

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions across mobile, web, and kiosk platforms, ensuring seamless user experience and integration with CityUHK systems and APIs;

  • Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver AI solutions that meet business needs;

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualisations to monitor AI project performance and ROI, providing actionable insights to stakeholders;

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system design, operations, and user guides.

    Facilitate knowledge transfer and provide training for end-users and IT teams on AI tools and systems;

  • Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) on emerging AI technologies, tools, and frameworks, proposing innovative solutions and use cases to drive continuous improvement; and

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence/Information Technology, or related fields, with over 10 years of relevant experience;

  • Proven track record in managing AI solution deployment, including chatbots, AI assistant using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and LangChain, and programming languages such as Python and Java;

  • Hands-on experience with deploying and fine-tuning AI models on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Deepseek, AWS, Alibaba) and on-premises GPU servers, along with familiarity with DevOps practices for AI model deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting;

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and middleware technologies;

  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders, end users, and technical teams, with proficiency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and

  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently or in teams in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive mindset for adopting emerging AI technologies are required.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant IT Manager/IT Officer.

    Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
