WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
You will benefit from a number of training modules we have developed to address the fundamental skills required of this profession.

In addition to gaining an understanding of the industry and first-hand experience of working closely with the team, you can expect to develop confidence, critical and marketable skills by engaging in or assisting with many of the following activities:

+ Preparing different types of communication materials, e.g. press releases, media pitches, bylined articles, briefing documents, fact sheets, executive biographies

+ Contributing to the agency’s social media platforms

+ Participating in strategy meetings, brainstorming sessions, media interviews, events and research studies

+ Conducting research and analysis using the latest research tools

+ Building relationships with journalist, bloggers, and other members of the media

+ Assisting in planning and execution of photo shoots and special events

+ Supporting with the management of crises and learn how to respond in an effective manner

REQUIREMENTS: ONLY THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST NEED APPLY

+ Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher

+ Major in public relations, communications, English, journalism or marketing

+ Be a junior or senior in college

+ Strong organization, communication and time management skills

+ Good team player with positive attitude, enthusiastic and self-motivated

+ Proficiency in social media platforms, and additional skills with Photoshop, Illustrator and other photo-editing software will be an advantage

+ Have a high proficiency in both written and spoken English.

(Fluent spoken and written Chinese is a plus)

WORK SCHEDULE:

+ Applicants are responsible for transportation to and from the Internship experience

+ Willing to commit to at a minimum of 2 full-days/week

+ Hours can be flexible and will depend on the student’s class schedule, course requirements (if applicable) and availability

+ A stipend will be provided based on the program duration
