  • Compliance:EncouragelocalHSEQcompliance,thatstatutoryobligationsarecommunicated,specifically to duty holders, and roles and responsibilities are discharged.

  • Training:CoordinatelocalHSEQtrainingandcompetency,wherenecessaryorganiseanddeliverlocal training.

    Ensure training and competency is formally recorded

  • Data:Maintainrecordsanddatasources,ensuringdataintegrity,reliability,accuracyand,where appropriate, privacy.

  • Reporting:Interpretreportsandanalysedata,developinsightstoinformtheirlocalbusinessofanynotable issues, risks, trends or actions.

    Upwardly escalate any significant concerns and trends to HSEQ Manager

  • ChampionandPromote:Encourageandpromotelocalimplementationofquality,H&Sandenvironmental management systems.

  • Digital:Identifyopportunitiesforimprovementandcollaborateonsolutionstosolveandimprove processes.

    Adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

  • Ownership:Takeownershipofownworktoaccomplishindividualandwiderteamobjectives.

  • Customerfocus:Developgoodcustomerfocus,understandtheirdrivers,problemsorneeds,anddeliver services to resolve / meet those needs.

    Quality Management

  • Partnerwithprojectstodeliverworkofquality,usingourqualitymanagementsystemsand the programmeofqualitycheckingandinspectionofwork.

  • Coordinatelocalinternalauditsandauditplans,conductsimpleanalysisoflocalauditfindingstoestablish underlying trends and reasons.

  • Supportlocalteamsaheadandduringanexternalaudit.Coordinateanyfindings,recommend,trackand manage actions to completion.

    Escalate outstanding issues or concerns

  • Developprojectqualityplansandinspectionregimes(whererequired).

  • Ensurethatlocalbriefingsonthequalitymanagementsystemaredone,toimprovetheunderstandingof the requirements and individual roles, responsibilities and tasks.
  • Health,SafetyandWellbeing

  • Encourageacultureofcarewheresafetyiseveryone’sresponsibilityandintegratedwithineverythingwe do, advise and coach leadership on role modelling

  • Providelocalteamswithprofessionalsafetyadviceforbids,projects,sitevisits,travelandfacilities.

  • Reviewandvalidatelocalriskassessments/SWMS,safetyplansandmethodsstatements,supportingthe identification and establishment of suitable risk mitigations and control measures.

  • Implementfiresafety,firstaid,emergencyresponse,workstationassessments,environmentalcompliance, office inductions, physical security, personal emergency evacuation plans and contractor management

  • Encourageincidentpreventionandsafetyintheofficeandacrossprojects.Investigatelocalincidents, ensuring appropriate and timely reporting of incidents, and the establishment of effective corrective action.

    Collaborate with Major Incident response team when required

  • Supportprojectteamstointegratethedesignsafetyframeworkandkeyconceptswithinthedesigns.

  • Coordinatetheissue,useandmaintenanceofprotectiveclothingandequipment
  • EnvironmentandSustainability

  • SupportArupachieveitssustainabilitygoalsbypromotingtheenvironmentalmanagementsystemand supporting the integration of sustainable concepts within our business operations, processes and local decision-making.

  • Maintainintegrityofenvironmentaldataintosystems,includingthelocalEnvironmentalAspects Registers and improvement plans.

  • Conductlocalimpactenvironmentalassessments.

  • Validateprojectenvironmentaloutcomesagainstcontractualandlegalobligationswithin geography/region.

  • LiaisewithinternalandexternalstakeholdersassociatedwithESGreporting,EMSapproachandindustry influence.

  • Encourageenvironmentalawarenessandcontrolswithinternalstakeholderstosupportconsistencyin process application i.e. waste management, review of materials being consumed or installed within offices.

  • Ensuresub-contractorarecompliantwithArupenvironmentalstandardsandpractices.

  • PartnerwithArupLeaderstoprovidecomplianceadviceensuringtheirunderstandingofenvironmental obligations as duty holders.
  • EmergencyPreparedness

  • Supportbusinessinthepreparationforlocalemergenciesandbusinessdisruption,ensuringthebusiness continuity plans are maintained.

  • Coordinatelocalemergencyplansandtheroutinetestingofemergencycommunicationsystems,suchas Everbridge and International SOS

  • Coordinatecontractorsafetymanagement,ensuringtheassessmentofcontractors’H&Spoliciesandrisk assessments, and support local safety plans.
