Finance Office
Executive Officer II (carrying the job title of ‘Assistant Finance Manager’) 
Business Unit of the Finance Office is in charge of a wide portfolio of administrative services, including facilitating University procurements, managing insurance policies and co-ordinating claims, enforcing the University’s control policies on fixed asset management, staff quarters administration, gown rental, canteen management, mail service, etc.

Applications are invited for a challenging position of Assistant Finance Manager.
 

The appointee will, assisting by a small team under his/her supervision, be responsible for (a) vetting procurement requests from department users ensuring compliance with the University guidelines; (b) supporting the administration of the University Tendering matters; (c) supervising insurance claims and co-ordinating insurance matters with users, insurance brokers and insurers; (d) co-ordinating and monitoring contractor for the University’s gown rental arrangements; (e) supporting committees, such as Tender Board, Insurance Board, and various management committees; and (f) carrying out other duties as assigned.
 

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management and/or Economics; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: ; (iii) at least 5 years’ post-qualification administrative and executive experience, preferably with exposure in procurement and insurance operation; (iv) strong business sense and a service-oriented attitude; (v) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (vi) self-motivation, and the ability to work independently, participate in teamwork and handle multiple tasks at the same time; (vii) excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills; and (viii) a friendly and positive work attitude.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
