The Team
You'll be joining a high-performing application support team embedded within the equity derivatives technology space.
This team plays a critical role in ensuring the performance, integrity, and stability of key trading platforms.
Working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional engineering teams, the group supports strategic initiatives and drives continuous improvement.
The Role
- Provide advanced application support for equity derivatives systems across global environments.
- Collaborate with technology and business teams to identify, analyze, and implement system enhancements or fixes.
- Assess and document system impacts from new business requirements and regulatory changes.
- Ensure seamless integration of technology solutions with operational and strategic goals.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues using interpretive thinking and root cause analysis.
- Identify and mitigate risks, vulnerabilities, and security gaps across supported applications.
- Coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to workload distribution.
- Influence key technology decisions through in-depth analysis and strong communication.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards.
The Requirements
- 8 - 12 years of experience in technology roles, ideally within equity derivatives or related domains.
- Strong technical proficiency with SQL, Windows, Linux, Python, Shell scripting, and ITRS.
- Proven ability to work in high-pressure trading environments with a service-oriented mindset.
- Solid understanding of application support principles and incident/problem management.
- Strategic thinker with practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience leading or participating in the requirements gathering process for large-scale systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; Master's degree a plus.
