Director, Marketing and Communications

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing and Communications professional to lead and elevate our marketing and communications capabilities across the Asia Pacific region.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for crafting and executing multi-channel marketing and communications strategies that align with our mission and long-term objectives—and that resonate across our diverse markets, currently spanning eight countries.

Your leadership will be essential to build brand recognition, drive engagement, support business development and sales, and expand our reach to current and prospective members across markets.

Working closely with regional and local leadership teams, you will bring vision and creative direction to ensure ULI remains at the forefront of the built environment industry, delivering exceptional value to members and stakeholders alike.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious marketing and communications leader who is passionate about making a meaningful impact in their profession and thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Your efforts will directly support the growth of a vibrant community of real estate professionals committed to excellence and far reaching social impact.

As a regional leader in a lean, professional, member driven, not-for profit organization, the selected candidate and her/his team will thrive in a fast paced, hands-on, results-oriented environment.

The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task, manage competing deadlines, and deliver timely and tangible support to leanly staffed in-country teams.

You will spend approximately 50% of your effort on regional programmes and initiatives and 50% supporting ULI Asia Pacific’s eight Local Councils (Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Philippines, Singapore and South Korea).

One of your top priorities upon joining will be to develop and implement a 90-day plan that will include defining marketing and communications responsibilities clearly across the organization, taking inventory of outstanding marketing and communications activities, updating marketing collateral to support business development and sales, supporting high profile programmes and events, and creating a marketing and communications plan aligned with business priorities.

Further, you will work closely with the ULI Asia Pacific Executive Committee’s newly established Marketing and Communications Committee to help shape and implement your marketing and communications strategies and plans.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Relevant experience and capabilities in marketing and communications, preferably with a strong understanding of the built environment or related sectors.
  • Experience managing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns—including digital, social media, content, and event marketing.
  • Experience in communications, including internal and external communications and the development and execution of media strategies and plans.
