We are seeking a seasoned product strategy leader with strong experience working with distribution teams to join the Group Product Function.
This role will be instrumental in shaping and executing a Group-wide product strategy taking into account the needs of our customers and aligned to the distribution channels used to access those customers.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in life insurance products and distribution strategy, with a strong understanding of the market dynamics and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning – Products
Support the Group and local businesses in the development of a cohesive regional product strategy by channel, and aligned with the company’s vision of integrated life, health and wealth solutions.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment across group functions including Distribution, Finance and OperationsSupport the function in strategic planning, prioritisation and execution of product strategy and plans with Group Agency and Partnership Distribution functions.Cross-Functional and Distribution Engagement
Partner with group and local teams across Distribution, Marketing, Operations & Technology, Health to co-create product strategies that address specific needs of targeted customer segments, are market-relevant and scalable.Actively engage Agency and Partnership Distribution teams at both Group and local levels to gather insights, align on product priorities and ensure commercial viability.
Facilitate two-way communication between product and distribution teams to ensure product strategies are aligned, well understood, supported and effectively executed.Identify and accelerate the replication of successful product initiatives across business units.Market-Intelligence and Innovation
Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis across key marketsMonitor emerging trends in Insurtech, health tech, digital wealth platforms and evolving customer behavioursTranslate insights into actionable recommendations to enhance product value propositions and inform distribution strategiesEducation and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in life insurance product or distribution strategy, with a strong track record across various product lines, particularly life and wealth.Experience in regional or multi-market roles would be an advantage.Understanding of regulatory environments and consumer preferences across Asian marketsStrong strategic thinking, communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Attributes
Experience with high-net-worth (HNW) segments, protection products (including riders), investment-linked products (ILPs), or health platformsDemonstrated success in developing and executing distribution product strategies.
