PURPOSE

For OMNE

  • Lead, strategize, drive and manage Omne technology Solutions Delivery function that operates across FWD Group in all FWD Markets:
  • Lead the creation of a technology framework and provide delivery leadership in support of initiatives with market automation, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on mobile and cloud platforms.
  • Lead the strategy to onboard markets for adoption of new technologies used in Omne.
  • Drive solution development roadmaps and collaboration on solution design to achieve optimal business outcomes
  • Facilitate the overall Technology landscape and design effective and practical solutions working with markets and its associated systems.
  • Drive delivery of cloud transformation concepts and engineering patterns into development teams to keep systems operating effectively
  • Demonstrate domain expertise to create solutions to help markets and drive operational efficiency.
  • Design Integrated Technology Landscape of Omne aligning with the Business Units.
  • Lead Delivery for multiple squads and Business Units.
  • KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

  • Lead to define the innovation roadmap and implementation strategy with Market teams and Technology leaders across Omne platform, driving the adoption of the new innovative technologies.
  • Lead the development and infrastructure to define the best practices through innovative technology
  • Enabling Omne strategy across the FWD markets.
  • Lead to define the technology solution roadmap and implementation strategy with Group & Market technology teams and business leaders across identified Life and EB systems, driving the adoption of new application that hosted on cloud services, and application architecture in solution and design.
  • Advise and facilitate prioritization and delivery in concert with Group/Market technology functions and business leaders’ requirements and direction.
  • Define measurable and quality metrics for solutions as assigned as they have a sizable impact to the business performance at each market and requires advanced judgement to develop new and practical solutions.
  • Lead and steward the management of Omne innovation through its life cycle, including resources planning, budget monitoring, clients’ expectation management, change management, contingency planning, risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Design the cloud infrastructure that supports the organizations velocity which includes creating and maintaining the continuous delivery pipeline toolchain, including continuous integration, automated builds, automated build verification testing, and automated deployment
  • Lead the definition and development of technology solutions leading to operational efficiency.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the business and organization from end functions and the inter-dependencies with other functions as it represents the Front-end solution function to agree on defining technology roadmaps, project prioritization and project implementation details in respective project steering committee, e.g., integration projects post M&A
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation of team capacity, and continuous improvement of team performance and their technical and non-technical competencies on Omne Delivery.
  • Improve operational efficiency both for claims and servicing area.
  • Provide thought leadership in industry and to fellow team members across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements
  • Drive Markets to adopt group standard frameworks and optimize reusability in Omne.
  • Implement Blue/Green environments and allow touchless deployments utilizing CICD Pipelines which enables Release on Demand
  • Create and maintain the continuous delivery.
  • Interfere and troubleshoot any part of supported services when needed
  • Investigate and solve live performance and stability issues in production
  • Provide dedicated support to individual Service Delivery Engineers and Operations
  • Oversee all planned outages, and assist with major upgrades to ensure minimum downtime in Insurance.

  • Educate peers about best standards, processes and technologies
  • Serve as the SME for selecting technology candidates and self-healing capabilities for future service development
  • QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • At least 15 years of IT experience
  • Relevant degree or diploma program of study
  • Design knowledge for cloud architecture with expert level knowledge of React Native, AWS or Azure with associated certifications
  • Able to work proficiently with a number of different operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux.
  • Well versed with frontend and , backend technologies, relational and non-relational database, streaming data store.
  • Experience in AI driven technologies.
  • Ability to mine and massage data with analytics skill.
  • Ability to develop custom tool integrations
  • Highly experienced in standard technologies like Java and .Net.
  • Ability to write consistent and published APIs including Mule & Lamdas
  • Experience building, integrating, deploying and provisioning service services
  • Expertise in multiple version control systems (Git, GitHub, Subversion)
  • Specific experience with service Foundry development, administration and APIs
  • KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Solid knowledge in Mobile apps in a scalable architecture.
  • Solid knowledge in engineering standards and practices
  • Proficient in various technologies like Java, .Net, Sql Server, Oracle, MySql, powerbi, data warehousing concepts and tools, Etls.
  • Manage projects in Agile development approach
  • Understand latest and emerging technologies and practice, such as DevOps, Cloud, Microservice and Mobile development
  • Exemplify good interpersonal communication skills at all levels of business users, markets, IT, partners and vendors
  • Good command of spoken and written English
