Candidates for Clinical Mental Health Practice stream should be able to teach courses related to clinical assessment and intervention in working with a diversity of people with mental health problems.
Candidates for Family Conflict Resolution & Mediation stream should be able to teach courses related to family mediation and conflict resolution.
The candidate should also contribute to research and education in these new streams (including supervising students’ project, and managing student activities and academic programmes); actively engage in research and promote/participate in cross/interdisciplinary projects; and contribute to departmental administration and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
A PhD in Social Work/Counselling/Clinical Psychology/Psychiatry or closely related fields.
Candidates are expected to have a strong track record in research, publications and grant acquisitions in the field of mental health or family practice.
Successful candidates are expected to commence duty on or before August .
Candidates for Assistant Professor should have demonstrated potential for high-impact publication and grant capture.
Candidates for Associate Professor should have a strong record of original intellectual achievement, as evidenced by research or publications and grant capture as well as a strong teaching record and contributions to instructional development.
Candidates for Chair Professor and Professor should have a portfolio of significant contributions to their field of scholarship (including publications and the receipt of research grants or funds), and a strong record of providing leadership in teaching and educational activities (including supervision of graduate students) and professional experience.
