PURPOSE

  • Develop and own the strategic health partnerships in the health ecosystem and the commercial control at GO level to provide assurance to the senior management clear decision making over the accident and health, collaborating closely with markets, wider accident and health team, GO Finance, GO Proposition.
  • Lead, own and formulate the strategy and roadmap for Accident and Health FWD GO to develop market leading partnerships and performance standard frameworks to monitor the partnership to impact health and protection products working closely with GO GA, finance and market finance teams aligned to FWD vision.
  • Identify and engage with potential partners within the healthcare ecosystem, including leading hospitals, clinics, health tech startups and community organization.
  • Establish and nurture strategic relationships to advance mutual goals and enhance the value of all parties involved.
  • Lead, manage, coach and develop a team of high performing individuals who are viewed as subject matter experts in markets who can competently lead, execute and deliver the strategic initiatives for accident and health initiatives to meet and exceed strategic KPI's whilst encouraging and driving a culture of continuous learning and development through new ways of working and ideation of solutions leveraging new and emerging technologies.
  • Providing technical and commercial health partnership strategic advice on business development and health partnerships set up.
  • Key commercial business partner relating to health; conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities and competitive landscape.
  • Lead the commercial review of partnerships development at GO and support review at market.
  • KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

  • Able to understand and articulate the technical aspects of health partnerships and how they impact risk, profit, the balance sheet, cash flow to other stakeholders.
  • Responsible to shape, direct and articulate the strategy, vision and plan for market leading accident and health ecosystem development and coordinate with internal teams (e.g. marketing, products, operations), to ensure alignment and effective implementation of partnership initiatives.

    Including facilitation of cross-functional collaboration to drive project success and optimize resource utilization.
  • Responsible to be a strong advocate for FWD vision and strategy and ensure overall alignment with group (actuarial and risk), market and reinsurance partners to support FWD Accident and health strategies, philosophies and practices to the benefit of FWD, whilst ensuring compliance to regulations and align with risk tolerance preference within the risk appetite of the Group.
  • Responsible for the company investment and cost accident and health solutions which are Group-led and proactively ensure these are accounted for in market budgets and business plans for ease of buy-in and execution.
  • Responsible to bring new opportunities to in Accident and health to Group and markets and oversee the development and execution of joint programs, pilots and initiatives with partners.

    Including monitoring and evaluation of the program outcome, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Responsible to know the markets strengths and weakness in managing a health partnership and ecosystem portfolio and ensure regular reports on partnership activities, performance metrics and outcome for senior management and stakeholders.

    Including analysis of data to measure the impact of partnerships and data driven decisions to optimize strategies.
  • Lead and collaborate with high-performing functional teams from multiple domain expertise area across Health, Product, Digital, Customer Experience and Operations to integrate diverse needs and perspectives to develop fresh ideas and solutions to ensure our customers are in the center of the journey design, and their best interests are fully considered and incorporated.
  • Recognized as the most expert leader in health partnership and ecosystem development matters demonstrated by strong and competent leadership in areas of expertise with a high performing team of individuals who achieve and deliver results consistently for group and markets with a proactive and can-do attitude, building trust, respect and credibility.
  • Responsible to ensure that partnership activities comply with relevant regulations, policies and ethical standards and identify and mitigate potential risks associated with partnerships.
  • Provide valued thought leadership and insight on how to seize market opportunity and be successful in solution delivery that fosters a common language, set of best practices and cross functional capabilities to deliver results.
  • Foster a culture of learning, sharing, commitment, collaboration and continuous improvement and delivery of customer value aligned with FWDs overall brand Vision and Strategy.
  • QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or public health or related.
  • Experience professional with knowledge of the Asia health industry to relevant transferable skills and knowledge from other financial services industries such as life or general insurance.
  • Significant knowledge and cultural understanding of the various regions and its market.
  • A track record of achieving and exceeding targeted business result/KPIs.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in health or insurance industry working in multi-national environments in a regional leadership role.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in partnership management, business development or related role within the healthcare or insurance industry
  • Comprehensive experience working in a dynamic and evolving business environment and demonstrated ability to transform business and people to deliver results for a large set up across diverse cultures.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high performing teams with a diverse background and culture.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including key stakeholders, trends, and regulatory environment
  • Comprehensive experience in developing and implementing strategic frameworks for standardised application across markets with successful implementation and tangible business and customer outcomes.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing successful partnerships solutions and pivot strategy where and when needed.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a challenging environment
  • Excellent people skills, communication, articulation, relationship building, influencing skills are required with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes
  • Exceptional eye for detail and a strong creative and analytical thinker.
  • Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder and influencing skills and the ability to motivate and earn trust with across senior and functional leadership in Group and across markets.
  • KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Broad and comprehensive knowledge of health services, operation, products, and customer experience.
  • Strong technical health knowledge of the regulatory environment and clinical governance relating to providers and health tech solutions
  • Strong ability to demonstrate how to identify and troubleshoot issues related to the A&H partnership performance and provide solutions to business problems and create sustainable value.
  • Extensive market awareness and knowledge of health trends across Asia with built up external network.
  • Comprehensive experience in developing risk management frameworks and strategies to lay foundations for customer value creation and business outcomes.
  • Proven experience in leading, influencing, motivating, and guiding markets to formulate management strategies aligned to strategic outcomes and company vision and monitoring effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence diverse groups of senior executives that have expertise in different domains and at times conflicting agendas.
  • Demonstrated proficiency to work and adapt in a dynamic environment where strategies and priorities may need to shift and change.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and solve problems.
  • Extensive knowledge of international / regional insurance regulations, standards, and protocols.
