The Department
Customer Digital Experiment Department (CDX) is responsible for providing quality experience and CRM to local and overseas customers of The Hong Kong Jockey Club.
It operates 88 Race Meetings a year, 33 Simulcasts days, a thiice-weekly Mark 6 Draw, 7X24 Digital Channels, 7X24 Football Betting Services on over 11,000 different leagues per year.
The ultimate aim is to provide an impressive total customer experience leading to sustainable turnover growth in a responsible manner and engage new customers.
The Job
Work closely with Project Managers and/or Business Analyst to define user and technical requirements, and drive the discussion with IT developers on implementation Lead information architecture (IA), customer journey (UX) and user interface (UI) design of various project Decide and optimize the way a website/app/system is structured and how the content is organized Build site architecture such that information is easy to find, consume, and understand by end-users, and also aligning with user requirements and business priority Apply user-centric design principles to develop and define user flows and personas based on user requirements Produce detailed wireframes, define and document functional requirements for each user interface, each scenario/persona and across different devices Create interactive prototypes using design tool such as Figma and FigJam for demonstration, review and design collaboration Collaborate with digital designers, frontend and IT’s backend developers to deliver customer-first digital design with intuitive user experiences; provide input on feasibility of new web product/service ideas from a site architecting perspective Provide UXUI consultancy and gate-keep UXUI standard of the department Stay up-to-date on UX best practices and advise the team on the dos and don'ts in UIUX Keep abreast of UXUI latest trends and proactively recommend what UXUI trends can be applied to upcoming projects Drive HJKC Enterprise Design Framework and Governance operation and implementation with internal cross-functional teams Perform usability research and evaluation Conduct research, competitive benchmarking and analyses at the beginning of the project Carry out usability testing and A/B testing before and after launch Review web analytics data and user engagement rate to identify what’s working and what’s not
About You
A university degree, preferably in Design, Computer Engineering or equivalent A minimum of seven years of experience in UXUI design field, preferably gained in a sizable organization A strong portfolio of recent UI/UX professional design work for both web and mobile platforms Solid understanding of user-centric design processes and interaction design principles Strong ability to build documents and create interactive prototypes that define functionality, content, navigation, and interaction models through wireframes, site- maps, process flowcharts, page description diagrams and other documentation Outstanding aesthetic design skills along with the ability to create clean, functional user experiences and interfaces for complex projects experience and proficiency in creating design systems and UXUI guidelines working knowledge and proficient in the following technologies and software: Figma, FigJam, Sketch, InVision, Visio, HTML, CSS (SCSS), Design Systems, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience in large-scale digital development projects on CMS platforms such as WordPress, Adobe Experience Manager and Sitecore is highly preferred Critical thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong self-starter with capabilities to multitask, and being detail-oriented, hands-on and organized Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills A proactive, team-oriented and open-minded personality with a willingness to collaborate with project stakeholders and other working parties
