Department/ Unit: School of Hotel and Tourism Management
Closing Date: Until the position is filled

The School of Hotel and Tourism Management under the CUHK Business School is now inviting applications for the position of Assistant Professor / Research Assistant Professor in Hospitality Marketing.

Applications from qualified scholars with a focus on either mainstream marketing or a related field of hospitality will be considered.

Individuals with research areas in Services Marketing, Service Technology and Service Innovation are especially encouraged to apply.

Applicants with experience in conducting industry-collaborated and commercially sponsored research are preferred.

Applicants should be promising or established scholars with a PhD (or one that is close to completion) in mainstream marketing or in a related field of hospitality.

The appointees will (a) teach a variety of basic and advanced-level marketing related hospitality courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; (b) conduct high quality research and publish in both marketing and hospitality journals; and (c) render services to advance the hospitality community in Hong Kong and Asia.

Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2023, which, subject to demonstration of the requisite level of performance and mutual agreement, may lead to a longer-term appointment or substantiation later.

The School offers the BBA in Hospitality and Real Estate, MSc in Real Estate and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration in both hospitality and real estate streams.

The School of Hotel and Tourism Management comprises two research areas: Hospitality Marketing and Real Estate & Finance.

It targets to produce high-quality, high-impact frontier research rooted in mainstream disciplines and benefiting the hospitality, tourism, and real estate industries.
