Department/ Unit: School of Hotel and Tourism Management

Closing date: December 31, 2025


The School of Hotel and Tourism Management at CUHK Business School is inviting applications for a tenure-track faculty position in hospitality and tourism, starting in August 2026.


Applicants should be promising scholars with a PhD (by the time of reporting for duty) in hospitality and tourism or a related field.

The appointees will conduct high quality research which results in publications in top-tier hospitality and tourism journals.

In addition, they are expected to undertake duties to teach basic and advanced-level hospitality and tourism courses at both undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, and to render services to the School of Hotel and Tourism Management.

We welcome applications from scholars specializing in AI and technology, human resources, supply chain management, healthcare and aging, and related areas.

Industry experience in related fields and/or grant experience is preferred.


Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2026, which, subject to demonstration of the requisite level of performance and mutual agreement, may lead to a longer-term appointment or substantiation later.

About the School of Hotel and Tourism Management


Established in 1998, the School of Hotel and Tourism Management is one of six departments within the CUHK Business School.

Leveraging the Business School's esteemed business education, the school is dedicated to developing future leaders in the experience economy, with a focus on hospitality, tourism, and real estate.

It offers an AACSB-accredited BBA programme in Hospitality and Real Estate (HRE), the first integrated undergraduate programme of its kind in Asia.

Additionally, the MSc in Real Estate (MRE) is unique in Asia, integrating multidisciplinary research and teaching from real estate, business, and hospitality.

Both programmes are accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

The school also offers an MPhil-PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in Hospitality and Real Estate, preparing students for academic and research careers.
