Duties
The Department of Data Science is expanding and looking for a candidate with good management and administrative skills to support the development of the department in IT area and programme administration.
Key duties include to:
Provide IT and AV technical support to students, staff and faculty members;Install, configure and maintain computer hardware and software, and maintain respective inventory records;Liaise with different internal and external stakeholders to deliver planned/targeted IT-related services;Assist in department’s website update, IT or non-IT projects and office administration;Assist in managing research labs and teaching lab;Provide support to academic programmes, including admissions, programme administration, logistics of activities; andPerform any other tasks as assigned. Requirements
An Associate Degree/Higher Diploma, preferably in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology or related disciplines with at least 2 years’ relevant post-qualification working experience;Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and administration techniques;Knowledge of operating systems including Windows, MacOS and Linux;Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities;Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);Being responsible, self-motivated, cooperative and keen on staying updated with technology; andBeing able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as a good team player are required. Candidates with more than 6 years’ experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant IT Officer I.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
