Job Overview
Responsible for the performance of preventative, organizational and intermediate maintenance on the SA 100 Dual Non-Directional Beacon, Automated Weather Sensor System, FAA procured VHF and UHF radios, Precision Approach Path Indicator Airfield lighting system, and associated devices including antennas, cables, transmission lines, connectors, and power supplies.

ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties & Job Functions:
Duties include corrosion control, troubleshooting, inspecting, testing, repairing, modifying, and replacing of electronic assemblies and subassemblies.Coordinates with FAA personnel during flight checks, making adjustments and correcting noted deficiencies.Responsible for working independently on call 24/7 as conditions are subject to change with weather, aircraft activity and equipment requirements.Conducts daily and special inspections of all airport electronics equipment in accordance with FAA regulations.Must adhere to the following: Standard Operating Procedures, Operations Manual Airport rules and regulations, all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Company policies and procedures.Performs related duties as assigned.Accountable For:
Knowledge of Chugach policies and procedures as set out in Chugach Alaska Corporation Employee Handbook.Knowledge with the operation of the electronic test equipment associated with airfield systems.Procedures established in all government and commercial technical manuals and local directives. High school graduate or equivalent.Hold a valid driver’s license.Must possess an FCC General Radio Operator’s License.Must be able to complete FAA and manufacturer’s training courses for installed equipment.Basic computer and technical writing skills required.Preferred
Working experience with actual emergencies or critical events.Two years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing Navigational Aids, radio systems, and airfield lighting systems.Working knowledge of terminal emulation softwareWorking Conditions
Work is performed indoors and outdoors.
Outdoor work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions.Work hours are subject to change.Must be able to work independently on call 24/7 as conditions are subject to change with weather, aircraft activity and equipment requirements.Subject to hazards that may cause personal bodily harm (cuts, bruises, burns, elevated noise levels, etc.).Physical Requirements:
Must be able to do heavy lifting (50 lbs.) on a regular basis and for long periods of time while standing.Work requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, and stretching with a good range of motion.Reasonable Accommodation:
