Key Responsibilities
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of financial and accounting tasks, including:
- Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate financial records for all transactions, including customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and fees, in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and internal ledgers to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Generate timely and accurate financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for management and regulatory purposes.
- Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable (processing invoices, tracking payments) and accounts receivable (managing collections) to ensure timely payments and maintain healthy cash flow.
- Payroll Processing: Calculate employee salaries, deductions, and taxes, and ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, income tax, and payroll tax, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Software Implementation Support: Participate in software implementation projects by collaborating with IT, operations, and other stakeholders on new systems with accounting-related components.
This includes conducting thorough testing of the software to ensure accuracy in financial calculations, reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in finance and accounting.
Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record-keeping standards.
Language: Business fluency in English is required (Cantonese would be a plus).
